​Set on a lush hillside on the north east coast of Paxos, a 20-minute stroll from the waterfront village of Lakka, the hotel comprises five, beautifully restored, stone-built houses, built from the remains of an ancient hamlet. Each villa is attractively spaced to offer plenty of privacy within the expansive grounds and linked by little pathways that meander down through communal gardens to the sea.
 
The perfect venue for a romantic getaway for two or a relaxed break for up to four friends, the villas offer a choice of one or two bedrooms, with each having an independent living area, kitchenette, terrace, and private pool – most of which are heated. The interiors are individually furnished with elegant antiques, luxury linens and charming boho touches that reflect the Italian owner’s eye for detail. Some even have indulgent outdoor bathrooms reminiscent of those you might find in the tropics.
 
In addition to their private villa, guests have access to the main hotel building which is a treasure trove of antiques, Indian furnishings, and unique collectables, bearing witness to the impeccable taste and exotic travels of the hotel’s owner. Candlelit at night, this is an enticing setting for guests to enjoy an aperitif and a browse through books from the hotel library.
 
Exquisite breakfasts and a choice of lunch or dinner are included daily, each one beautifully prepared by the hotel chef and can be taken outside on the elegant hotel terrace with views across to the Greek mainland.
 
A leisurely stroll through the gardens leads to one of two idyllic beaches, Arkoudaki or Orkos: both perfectly unspoilt, with brilliant white pebbles and translucent water. For additional ease, the hotel staff offer electric club cars to transport guests through the grounds, although the final descent to the sea is via steps and must be undertaken on foot.
