From humble beginnings in 1978, Titan has grown to offer a worldwide programme of over 300 individual itineraries incorporating travel by coach and rail, ocean and river cruise, visiting more than 70 countries and all seven continents. Despite their size Titan still maintains its ‘customer first’ philosophy, whether it be on a tour of Venice or Vietnam, Alaska or Australia. These special touches include direct schedule flights, quality hotels and cruises, the services of a Titan Tour Manager throughout and door to door transfers with the VIP Home Departure Service from all across the UK.
Titan’s Managing Director Jackie Willis said: ‘Everyone at Titan Travel is delighted to have been honoured at the British Travel Awards. We are extremely proud to have picked up 19 awards, including nine Gold, and especially pleased to have retained three Gold Awards from last year. It’s fantastic that the hard work and dedication of all the Titan staff has been recognised in this way.’
British Travel Awards’ chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: ‘This year was a record-breaking year for consumer voting with more than 1.2 million votes cast to determine the winners of the coveted British Travel Awards – the largest consumer-voted awards programme in the UK; to win is truly an accolade. The travelling public regard the British Travel Awards winners’ logo as the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really are the best travel companies and Titan Travel is to be congratulated on the achievement.’
The British Travel Awards is a proudly independent organisation, with all votes scrutinised and verified by leading global accountancy practitioners Deloitte. The BTAs are the only travel industry accolades voted for exclusively by the travelling public, and the Awards serve to recognise all that is great about the travel companies preferred by holidaymakers from Great Britain.

BRITISH TRAVEL AWARDS NOTES TO EDITORS
The British Travel Awards is the largest awards programme in the UK created to reward the best companies in travel. The British Travel Awards are easily the most recognisable of all travel industry accolades amongst consumer and industry professionals alike with categories spanning all types of holiday experience – transport, destination, cruise, customer service, holiday extras, and accommodation. The British Travel Awards symbol is the benchmark for excellence when it comes to finding out who really is the best in the business. The 2014 BTAs results were announced on 26 November at Battersea Evolution.
The British Travel Awards are funded by the registration fees and patronage of sponsors who have identified the ROI from increased brand visibility and sales opportunities as the consumer and trade audience grows exponentially year on year.
